UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO LACK OF PARTICIPATION AND INTEREST ON THE PART OF THE MEMBERS, THE CAMERA CLUB IS NOW ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Soul Catchers Restigouche Camera Club, was formed after a few amateur photographers got the idea of sharing their ideas and photos. A public meeting was held and 11 interested people showed up. The second monthly meeting was attended by 23 members and Rogers TV was present, filmed and interviewed some members and we became stars of TV for one night. :)
The Club now meets at the RestigoucheNET Community Access Center, situated at the Polyvalente Roland-Pépin, each second Wednesday of every month.
To the left you can see pictures of the club's attendance at the first four meetings. The aim of the club is mainly for members to share and learn. Also To have regular outings, contests, monthly challenges, and when possible to bring speakers who can help us all be better photographers.
Although the club holds its meeting in Campbellton, N.B., members are from all around the area and all are welcome. Wether you use a 35mm or Digital cameras you will benefit from the club's meetings and outings. Although the cameras can seem to have much differences, you still need to know the basics of photography and have a good eye to use either one.
